With the feed in tariffs currently available, now is the best time to consider installing Solar PV panels.

While the technology of solar electricity generation matched withe the cost of panels does not yet make for a cost effective solution, the introduction of the Feed in Tariff in 2010 transformed the economics of Solar PV giving the installer a real return on investment.
As with any solar system, the further south you go, the more sun. The South of England is the best part of the UK to install any kind of solar energy system. We have not only the greatest number of sunny days, but being in the south of the country, the sun is higher in the sky and provides more energy.
With the increasing cost of energy and the availability of Feed in Tariffs, now is more than ever the time to consider installing a solar electricity system.
Solar PV is scalable.
Not only is a Solar PV installation ideal as an option for your roof at home, but it can make a realistic contribution to any business's electric energy requirements. With the FIT, it will also make a contribution to the bottom line and with careful use of other business tax incentives that support the use of renewable energy, Solar PV can be even more financially beneficial.
The systems shown above illustrate both a typical domestic solar photovoltaic system of approximately 2.2kW. This will generate most of the property's electricity requirements during the summer months and reasonable amounts throughout the year.
With a cost of around £10,000 and an overall return of approaching £1,000 per year this makes an excellent investment, in particular when money in the bank struggles to make a return of half%, significantly less than inflation!
The other system is smaller PV setup that is used to drive the pumps on a solar thermal system, the larger set of tubes on which the SolarPV is mounted making the whole system totally independent from the electricity mains.
